Stylein!

Last week was the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Stockholm. One of the labels strutting its stuff at the event was the Swedish fashion company Stylein
"All designs are inspired by the energies of life, which gives Stylein its unique expression - always with beautiful lines and rare details. Stylein’s vision is to bring out the inner beauty from the woman who wears its garments, allowing her to fully express her individual personality and femininity. She should easily be able to dress up or go for a more casual look, but always in Stylein".
I absolutely adored its clean lines, simple ideas, cuts and colours and let's just say... I may be rocking out the bike shorts this summer!

My ideal shoe rack...

(source: 5inch and up)
One day when I finally have my own home this is what I plan to construct to house and hold my shoe collection... Much better than the piles of boxes that currently occupy and sit on my bedroom floor!

late afternoon
I am in love with all things big at the moment. Particularly rings. Big, small and lots of them is definitely the way to go and is how i've always worn them. Some inspiration from my blog crushes.

Pretty as a picture.

All finally hung on the wall!
After seeing the girl in the bathing suit in another friends pictures, I knew I just had to have her. I look at her and she optimises everything that I see as free and beautiful. Once I tracked her down and looked at the rest of the works by the very talented Jessica Hyde, the other two prints were a must have also. I just couldn't help myself!

It has been a long time coming but I have finally put up these beautiful prints I bought oh so long ago. I love the white on white. Its so fresh and clean.

You can find Jessica's work at madeit.com.au or contact her through truth be told design.

Oh shucks! You shouldn't have!

(Sportsgirl 70's Mimmy Heel)
Recently hitting the Sportsgirl stores in a flurry or wood, studs, leather and suede was the the launch of their S/S10/11 shoes.  Now whilst it may have not been intentional, the shoe above has been fittingly called the 70's Mimmy Heel. Im thinking it's a sign.
It is the must have heel for the coming summer. With its cross between clog, platform and heel and its versatility to be worn with a little summer dress during the day or with an oversized silk kaftan on a hot balmy night, I think it's fair to say this shoe may actually become a summer essential in my wardrobe.

Thanks SP! ;o)

Charlie Middleton

Ben Thompson creator of Charlie Middleton at his stall in Paddington Markets.
My purchases!
Clutches. The smaller ones I use as wallets, clutches and bags.
Each bag/clutch comes with either a long chain or leather strap which is detachable.
When in Sydney over a year ago on the advice of a friend, I hunted down the wonderful world of leather that is created by Ben Thompson in his label Charlie Middleton. I bought the pouch identical to the small brown one in the photo and it has become a very well used item in my everyday life. From being a purse in my bag, to a clutch on a night out and an across the body bag at festivals.

The quality of leather and the array of colours the bags are produced in is beautiful. And whilst this is very important, one of the things that makes his bags so delectable, is the fabulous fabrics Ben uses to line them. Its the small details that count!

You can find Ben and his stall each Saturday at the Paddington Markets in Sydney, and I urge you, if you ever get the chance you must check it out!

Knot it!

I truly am a no fuss girl. Hair, makeup.... If it takes too much time or effort you can guarantee its not for me. The only thing I take time and pride in is my clothes and choice of outfit.

As you will notice with most of my posts, my hair is either down and out, with absolutely nothing done to style it or look as though some kind of effort has occurred, or up in a bun. My hairdresser Matt now knows quite well that he's cutting for a girl who showers, washes her hair, dries it with a towel and runs out the door again!

The quintessential messy bun is actually my saviour. Dirty or clean (works better with dirty!) it gives you that perfectly tousled bed hair look which is universally accepted as being acceptable in public.

Hallway

In my tiny little house, in my tiny little hall.... I love the light that comes through my tiny little entrance hall... even in the winter when it can seemingly feel as though there is none.

Let there be light!

As a blogger who enjoys taking photos, I know how essential it is to have the right lighting particularly as I am still having to use a basic digital camera and not a proper SLR!

The online store buyster.com.au is the one stop shop for all your lighting needs. I was amazed at how extensive the range and variety on offer was. Everything from out door lighting to bedside lamps!

Not only do the team at buyster have an extensive range of lighting but they are your one stop shop for everything home or office with furniture for your bedroom and study, to kitchenware and rugs, and here's the best part.... It's SUPER affordable! With the EOFY (end of financial year) now on our door steps, it's time to pick up some absolute bargains.

Below are my TOP FIVE lighting faves:
Was $99.95 NOW $19.95
